Taylor-Momsen

Taylor Momsen was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She is an American singer/songwriter/model/actress. Her most famous work is her part in the CW TV series Gossip Girl as Jenny Humphrey and as lead singer of The Pretty Reckless. Her music has been featured on television and film shows such as How to Be Single, Going the Distance, and Two and a Half Men. Taylor Momsen's younger sibling Sloane Momsen also works as an actor. Her dance training was at St. Louis' Center of Creative Arts. Her first professional performance came at three years of age for a commercial that was aired in 1997 for Shake and Bake. Momsen's career in the industry was put off for three years, until she got the lead role in the film Misconceptions. Momsen also appeared involved in the film Saving Shiloh in 2006. Additionally, she was among the top three potential candidates for Hannah Montana's lead character. However, Miley Cyrus was awarded the role.
